Root Canals

If you have a severely damaged, decaying tooth or a serious tooth infection (abscess), your dentist may recommend a root canal treatment. Root canals are used to repair and save your tooth instead of removing it.

A root canal is typically the result of a cavity that has passed the outer layers of your tooth, and has gone deeper inside of the tooth threatening the dental pulp and causing infection and sometimes pain. In order to save your tooth from further damage, the pulp (the living tissue inside your tooth), nerves, bacteria are removed and the whole area is disinfected and replaced with special, medicated, dental materials, which restore your tooth to its full function and remove the source of infection.

Our office performs root canals to restore your tooth to health, avoiding the need for an extraction altogether.

The health of your teeth is important to us. If you think you are suffering from a decayed tooth or you are experiencing dental pain, please contact us at 760-280-2270, to request an appointment at our office.
